What’s the cheapest way to enjoy this city at night?

It’s a good idea to use the subway. It can take you to all the cool places (Gazi, Agias Eirinis Square, Kiritsi Square, Kolonaki, Exarhia etc.) and it’s way too cheap.
If dinner is on your mind, visit Nikis str. near Syntagma Square, for cheap and great Asian food. And if you’re going for drinks, Kolokotroni str. features some awesome bars!

And all these are reachable by subway 😉

What’s your favorite restaurant here? What’s so special about it?

I love “Osteria di Claudio” ( for the most authentic Italian in town, “Red Elephant” ( for the most delicious and cheapest Indian in town and “Moorings” ( for gourmet sea food with great view to the sea!

What’s your favorite thing to do on a warm Sunday morning in this city?

Going to the beach is my favorite Sunday activity in the summer. I like Varkiza beach better. In the winter, I enjoy hiking our mountains, Ymittos and Parnitha!

What were some of the hidden gems in that city? Why?

The diver’s bar. It’s located on a rock on the waterfront. It doesn’t even have a name and if you don’t know exactly where it is, you can find it. The cocktails are not great and there’s no toilet, but it’s the coolest place in town: people are sitting on the rocks, enjoy ambient music, savour the sunset and the sound of the waves.

Anything else you want to add?

Summer, and the head on to the islands. Spring, and enjoy everything the city has to offer: open-air cinemas and bars with views to the stars…

Anafiotika, Plaka, Faliro, Kifisia.

Thanks! To sumbit another city review, got to
