What’s the cheapest way to enjoy this city at night?

Head over to Carrer de Blai in Poble Sec where you can sip on Catalan beer and feast on delicious €1 pintxos with the local cool brigade. Now, if you’re in Barcelona Spain for a trade show or conference, you’ll like this Barcelona Printing co.

What’s your favorite restaurant here? What’s so special about it?

I love Lateral in Eixample (Carrer Consell de Cent, 329). It’s an elegant yet totally unpretentious restaurant where you can indulge in some of the best tapas in Barcelona without spending a fortune. I always order two wedges of tortilla here too!

What’s your favorite thing to do on a warm Sunday morning in this city?

I like to ride my longboard or cycle down to the beach. I’ll cruise up and down, stopping to sip on a beer or two and take in the sights and sounds: people playing volleyball, buskers playing music, dancing roller-skaters, bronze-toned naturalists.

Then I’ll head into the back streets of Barcelona and sip on a vermouth and devour a couple of fish tapas dishes at Bar Leo, Bar San Jordi and Cal Papi.

What were some of the hidden gems in that city? Why?

Bodega Cal Pep in Gracia (Verdi, 141) is a proper old-world bar where the locals hang out all day and drink far too much vermouth.

For picnics and elevated views, I love the zen-like vibes of the Greek Gardens, which are hidden away in Montjuic.

And for craft beer magic, you simply can’t miss Garage Beer Co., Belchica Bar and BrewDog.

Anything else you want to add?

Barcelona rewards those who don’t mind getting lost. Put the map down and get walking. Follow the crowds, keep moving, keep an open mind.
