What’s the cheapest way to enjoy this city at night?

When you in Hyderabad, India, you have to explore the old city. Old City was the original urban area when the Nizams used to rule city. Here you will find attractions like Charminar, Makkha Masjid and the famous Golkonda fort is also near by. Also, you can shop something like pearls or some traditional clothings to make yourself look like a true Hyderabadi.

What’s your favorite restaurant here? What’s so special about it?

Hyderabad is famous for its Biryani. The best places to try it are Paradise restaurant or Hotel Shabad in old city. If you are looking for something classier, I prefer Biryani at Jewel of Nizams restaurant in Golkonda hotel.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a warm Sunday morning in this city?

Most of the time I am travelling, but its always a good idea to walk from Necklace road around the Hussain Sagar lake early morning or late evening. On the way you will find plenty of spicy street food to start your gastronomic delight.

What were some of the hidden gems in that city? Why?

Hyderabad is plenty of hidden gems like Qutab Shahi Tombs and Chowmahalla Palace. These sites do not get mentioned on travel books or blogs, but you will be amazed if you actually know the history and understand its beauty.

Walk along the Hussain Sagar looking at all the lights in the lake enjoy the simple street foods like Corn on Cob and Bhel Puri

I love Aahaar Kuteer serving authentic millet based food

Go bird watching to one of the lakes in the city specially Gandipet also known as Osman Sagar

What were some of the hidden gems in that city? Why?

We have 800 year old Sri Rama Chandra Swamy Temple near Shamshabad that is very popular for movie shootings.

Hyderabad is one of the first planned cities in India and was established in 1580s by the then Emperor of Golconda as the fort was getting too crowded so he built a new city, for which he invited city planners from Persia for the design. Today Hyderabad is home to companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, TCS, Infosys and many other global giants
