What’s the cheapest way to enjoy this city at night?

The open deck bus ‘Nilambari’ of the state tourism board that takes you around the historic Fort area of Mumbai (not hop on, hop off though). It costs only 3 usd per person! But, it doesn’t operate during the monsoon (generally June-Sept). You can take a cab and go around during that period.

What’s your favorite restaurant here? What’s so special about it?

Pizza by the Bay – earlier known as Not Just Jazz By The Bay. Has the best lunch salad buffet for ard 10 usd + taxes. Enjoy a beautiful view of the Marine Drive promenade and tuck into delicious pizzas.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a warm Sunday morning in this city?

Go for a walk. Walk down to the Gateway of India or Marine Drive Chowpatty.

What were some of the hidden gems in that city? Why?

Mumbai Port Trust’s Park in Colaba – peaceful vibe with view of the Arabian Sea, Winding lanes of Malabar Hill – green and elite, Heritage Tour of the Victoria Terminus – see the train museum and admire the Neo-Gothic architecture. To see the real city, take local trains and wander around at your own pace.

Anything else you want to add?

Mumbai is safe but like any other city in India, you would be well off not wearing very revealing clothing in public places or wandering in the dark on your own. Most Mumbaikars speak English. Bring your hats, sunglasses and sunblock lotion. Bargain when you shop. Have a great time!
